The sun is shining. the days seem three times as long as they did back in february. that trophy buck you missed out on last season is showing its face on your trail-cam every single night with a fresh set of antlers covered in velvet. your just counting down the days until the first day of archery. the lock3tv squad knows how you feel and we cant think of a better way to pass the time than to get out and do some fishing.
We recently traveled to Kennerdell, PA for some walleye fishing on the Allegheny. We didnt do as well as excpected due to the water being a little too murky but we HAMMERED the smallmouth! Although we didnt catch many walleye Josh ended up hooking into a nice sized one before the day was over.
Kennerdell and the surrounding area is also abundant with both stocked and wild trout streams. even when the allegheny is high and muddy these mountain streams run clear and we were able to land a few wild brown trout which was just as exciting as hooking onto one of those big walleye.
When we just feel like sticking around home the lower end of the allegheny offers excellent fishing. the hundreds of streams, lakes and ponds hold a wide variety of species so there is never a dull moment. here are just a few of the many fish the lock3tv gang has landed so far this summer. be sure to check out the video clip of luke landing a monster largemouth on the fourth of july.
